I bought this from the USA to include in the classis Heatkit Ham station I am putting together. Unlike many of these Heathkit items the power transformer did not have 240 Volt windings so I found an ideal transformer in an old Bell (from NZ) Radio Gram chassis. Bit of a pitty to wreck that but it was not worth restoring, not enough of it still there. About the only real problem with it was the 100KHz crystal in the optional plug in module was inoperative. I also added some extra bypass capacitors and zener diodes to stabalise the HT to the local oscillator and the BFO.
The case suffered in the post from the USA and I will have to panel beat it and repaint.
