Automotive Restoration for beginners
By Phil Storr
Panel fabrication
I will take the easy way out for this chapter for now and recommend the book I have used. This is Metal Fabrication by Ron Fournier from HPBooks. This is an excellent book and shows how to do many tasks with and without specialised tools and equipment.
Repairing Panel damage
Again I will "chicken out" on this one for now and recommend the book: Donald Waits Panel Beating and Car Restoration from the publisher Child and Associates. This book is a text book for Apprentice courses and assumes the student will have access to all sorts of specialised equipment, but us back-yard restorers can learn a lot from it.
